There are frequent concerts of all types of music, organised by clubs and societies in Horwich. The musical production from Horwich Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society is now held in the Albert Hall, Bolton in May.

Horwich also had a yearly carnival weekend with a street parade and lots of other fun events. Horwich Town Council is the major sponsor.

Many of the local schools also hold concerts. Horwich Prize Medal Morris Men have 'a day for St George' on the nearest Saturday to April 23rd when they and visiting teams dance round the streets.

There is also a thriving Art Society that meets in Holy Trinity Parish Hall, Church Street and a progressive artistic community in Bolton Arts Studios on Hampson Street.
