Horwich has nearly 9,000 residential properties and a good selection of different types of home are always available at competitive prices.
Many older cottage-style houses are to be found in the centre the town and in the Church Street conservation area.
Others are situated further out of town, for example at Wallsuches, Wilderswood and Bottom o'th Moor. Many of these cottages are of historical interest because of their links with hand-loom weaving or agriculture.
Most areas of Horwich have a good mix of town houses, semi-detached and detached houses for sale. There are ex-local authority properties, housing association homes and private houses of all sizes, including bungalows and apartments for older people. Flats are now proving to be popular, and developers are responding to the demand.
Most of the larger dwellings are in the north and east of the town, although there are four bedroom houses with gardens in most parts of Horwich. There are older houses of great character and interest and because Horwich is a hilly town, many enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.
There has been a great deal of house building in recent years to meet the rising demands of our thriving town with its excellent motorway links. New areas include a large development of 'executive type' property off Crown Lane also at the Meadow, Middlebrook. The historical Arcon Village is a recent addition, comprising of around 140 homes including mews style cottages, town houses and apartments. Chorley New Road has also seen a lot of development.
Horwich has several Estate Agencies who are ready to help and advise people who are hoping to move into the town.
Horwich is situated in the beautiful rural setting of the West Pennine Moors, 5 miles north of Bolton.
